What is the Youth Seminar? A Career Day featuring speakers representing many different career fields and ministries, educational info sessions, and hands-on activities.
Some of this year’s sessions include a pharmacist, engineer, director of Hands of Hope, a wildlife expert, mission aviation pilots, veterinarian tech, writer, several hands-on sessions, high school advice, and more!
Who can come? Homeschooled students in 6th through 12th grades. Parents may also attend.
COST:
Early Bird Registration (payment received on or before March 15, 2025):
$12.00 - first student in family
$8.00 - additional students in family
$7.00 – parent
Regular Registration (payment received after March 15th):
$16.00 – first student in family
$12.00- additional students in family
$9.00 – parent
Make checks payable to “CHET-SE” and send to Laura Denker, 11420 E. Camino del Sahuaro, Tucson, AZ 85749. You can also pay in person at any CHET-SE event to Amber Polivchak or Kureen Schwarz. Partial Scholarships are available if needed. Contact L_ [email protected] for details.
Lunch is not included in the registration cost. There will be 2 options for lunch:
- Students may bring a packed lunch from home.
- We will be pre-ordering boxed lunches from Chick-Fil-A. The meal will cost $11.00 and include a Chick-Fil-A sandwich, waffle chips, and a cookie. If you'd like to order lunch, please indicate that on your registration and send lunch payment with your registration payment. Lunch must be ordered and paid for by Saturday, March 15th so that we can finalize our group order. No additional Chick-Fil-A orders or payments will be taken after that day.
Water bottles and Eegees will be provided for everyone. A mid-afternoon snack will also be served.
Attendees will need to sign up for sessions in advance. Click here for the schedule and workshop descriptions! A Google form link will be sent to families who have pre-registered for the Youth Seminar and will enable students to indicate their preferences on the workshops they would like to attend in each session. Sessions will be filled in the order in which the selections are received. If room capacities are reached, then sessions will be closed to further signups. After March 10th, workshop sign up links will be sent as people register/pay.
When students arrive at the Youth Seminar on March 21st, they will be given their schedule for the day.
